I earned a PhD (2023) and an MA (2017) in sociology from Cornell University, and an MA (2013) in sociology and media communication from New York University. Before graduate school I managed development and communication campaigns for animal advocacy and environmental research and protection groups in British Columbia, Canada. I am originally from a Transylvanian town in Romania and currently live in New York.
